Dragons

At one point in time, dragons lived in harmony on earth, and would grant wishes to humans. At some point, humans began to steal the dragon young, and store them in containers. When freed from the container, the baby dragons were honor bound to bestow the human with three wishes. Then, the shock of the wishes would kill the dragon. This would lead to both the slow extinction of the dragons, as well as the genie myth.
