Pietro Maximoff, the Quicksilver, is a Romani speedster and twin brother of the sorceress Wanda Maximoff.
Born as the son of Erik Lensherr, after he left to fulfill his "destiny" as fortold, the twins' mother would pass only a couple years after the birth of Lorna Dayne.
The twins were seperated from their sister in the foster system, would be bounced around foster homes until their teens. Never having a real home of their own, and with their own burgeoning mutant powers, the pair were largely vagabonds. That is, until a cult of Apocalypse kidnapped Wanda. It took years for Pietro to even find her. With the help of Team Metal, the two were capable of being reunited.
Hiroshi Matsumoto and Thomas Anderson would help save his sister from imprisonment within some kind of cult.
He would go on to become a member of the Avengers alongside his sister.
He died saving thousands of civilians from a bomb.
