How to continue Marvel. Okay, this is a tough one. What would be on the horizon. The characters as they are, are fairly powerful.
so, following the everyone being brought back, etc, etc, Walter Muurd's conviction is overturned and is released from prison. He announces his campaign for president. His platform is built on superhero regulation, mandated super hero licenses, etc. The public is scared, the avengers were nearly not enough to be able to protect them, and for 5 months, it really felt like the Avengers failed, in part due to their whimsical nature of not caring.
Tony Stark announces his support for Muurd, which is a real indicator of public opinion. He reveals him being Iron Man.
Walter Muurd is elected president. He tasks Stark with a restructuring of the Avengers. One of the first thing Stark does is rewrite the Avengers charter. It places a focus on protecting America, and moves away from having the UN involved in the Avengers. The Avengers officially remove all international teams from its expanded roster. The Avengers core team is established, consisting of Tony Stark/Iron Man, Agent Barton(using his brother's codename of Hawkeye), possibly Vision/the Ultron Legion, Hulk, US Agent, and Venom.
A key conflict of the campaign would be these government sanctioned Dark Avengers vs the Secret Avengers. Functionally, the foundations of a civil war type storyline.
Charles Xavier is reborn on Krakoa, his new island nation safe haven for mutants. Various mutants who are sympathetic to his ideals go to him to aid in the creation and cultivation of the island utopia. The mutants not aligned with his lofty goals, such as Kitty and Emma, are stuck between a rock and a hard place. The rapidly turning anti-mutant world/America, and the mutant safehaven ethnostate.
This represents another key conflict of the campaign.
The players would find themselves in a world being torn apart, functionally. Lines are being drawn, and they will have to make tough choices as to where they will focus their time and talents. Things won't be the same, ever.
There would also be the dark Postulants
Likely some group formed by Doctor Fallow, likely some group being used by the Illuminati
